The Story

It’s a story more fantastical than any plot of the movies the actors in ‘I Used to be in Pictures’ were in. Young twin brothers from leafy Surrey – quaint England, embark on a journey of discovery by way of writing fan letters in Air Mail envelopes to a plethora of faded film stars they’d watched on the BBC Movie Matinee on their grandmother’s jalopy of a TV set.

A journey of discovery

What they discovered were famous lives once lived; some languishing in a world befitting Norma Desmond, others humble about their past glories, whilst others just strange. The boys, like sponges soaked up their screen star stories.
